Dr. Gordon Hamilton, BA (Brown), MTS, MA, PhD (Harvard) is Professor Emeritus, Old Testament
Language and Literature at Huron University, London, Ontario, having taught biblical Hebrew and Old
Testament studies there for over twenty years. His areas of research and teaching also include the
origins of the west Semitic alphabet and the Dead Sea Scrolls.
An active Roman Catholic lay person, Gord has led numerous parish retreats and has a passion for
Jewish-Muslim-Christian dialogue and ecumenical relations. He is an exceptional teacher and has a gift
for providing context that helps draw the connections between the narratives of the Bible and our own
stories as people of faith.
