Three years ago, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York launched a time of intentional
prayer for evangelism and witness across the Anglican Communion for the period of
Ascension Day to Pentecost, in the tradition of the early disciples as recorded in Acts 1 &
2. What started as a call to Anglicans around the world has spread into an international,
ecumenical movement of prayer and witness. St. John‟s will join in this initiative this
year which invites each and every Christian to pray that God‟s Spirit might work in the
lives of 5 friends who have not responded with their „Yes‟ to God‟s invitation to follow
Christ. If you are interested in participating, please speak with Canon Catherine. Visit: for more information.
