Congratulations to Matthew Dillabough who was awarded this year's scholarship!  Matthew will begin college at Algonquin in Ottawa starting in September.  Julianna Bennet, the recipient of the inaugural scholarship last year met with Parish Council on June 22 to thank St. John's, to report back on her first year at Queen's and to provide an update on her continued studies. A reminder that the scholarship is valued at $5000/annually renewable up to four years to a graduating student from SFDCI provided the student is enrolled in full time studies at an accredited college or university and maintains an overall C average from year to year.

PANDEMIC PLAN :  GREEN STAGE
Effective Sunday June 12, St. John's moved to the Green Stage of our diocesan In This Together pandemic plan.  ·         Masks are no longer be required while in the building though strongly encouraged;·         Physical distancing and capacity limits are no longer required.  Alternate pews continue to be marked off to provide some extra space for those who wish to physically distance from others outside of their household or 'bubble' and it is a good idea to continue to observe physical distancing where possible, and avoid overcrowding;·         Lemonade on the lawn is provided outside the parish hall after the 10am service, weather permitting;·         Communion will continue to be offered at the foot of the chancel steps and the side aisles;·         Please self-screen for symptoms before coming to church and if you are feeling unwell for any reason at all, please do not attend in person.  The 10am service will continue to be recorded and live-streamed;·         Meetings will still be held on-line as a rule, though some in-person meetings will take place.
