A free community dinner (with a free-will offering jar) is offered monthly with the exception of July, August and December. We serve between 80 – 100 people each month with those attending reflecting a cross–section of our community; from teens to new parents with babies to the elderly. All are welcomed, birthdays are celebrated, and the atmosphere is loud and comfortable. It’s a time of shared laughter, fun, companionship, hope and good, healthy food.

The St John’s Anglican Church started this community event in 2001. In that time, so many friends and connections have been made. The volunteers are what keep this program going. We have volunteers to chop veggies, make desserts, cook the main course, butter the buns, organize utensils, serve the food, room set-up, signage, wash dishes, welcome guests, chairs, and more! There are usually two volunteer shifts; 8:00am-10:00am (room setup and food prep) and 3:45pm-6:00pm (serving food, cleanup).

We welcome ALL guests and ALL volunteers!
