The Reverend Robert P. Sicard, MBA, P.Ag.
In 2006, after achieving a Certificate in Christian Studies at Renison University College, Robert was ordained a Vocational Deacon in the Anglican Church of Canada, Diocese of Huron. Robert spent the following eight (8) years providing weekly ministry at the Court at Laurelwood residence for independent seniors and other seniors’ communities in Waterloo. Robert also served as a Vocational Deacon at All Saints’ Anglican Church, in Waterloo. In addition, Robert served on The Administration and Finance Committee and he Chaired the Insurance Sub-Committee, for the Diocese of Huron. In May of 2017, Robert and his wife Kathy relocated to Nepean.
Robert is bilingual (English and French) and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a diploma in Business Management from Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology. Robert also attended St. Lawrence College of Applied Arts and Technology where he earned a diploma in Manufacturing Management. He also holds a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) designation from the Ontario Institute of Agrologists.
From October 2018 through July 2021, Robert served on the Property and Finance Committee for the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa (“ADO”). Robert also served as Chair of the ADO’s Insurance Working Group.
Since January 2018, Robert has served as a member of the Environmental Management & Assessment Program Advisory Committee at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. In November 2018, Robert was elected Vice-Chair of the Program Advisory Committee.
Robert served on the Board of Directors at the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (“TSSA”). He also served as a member of TSSA’s Governance and Human Resources Committee (“GHRC”) and the Audit, Finance and Risk Committee (“AFRC”).
In March 2021, Robert was formally recognized as a Transitional Deacon by The Right Reverend Shane A. D. Parker, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa.
Robert has served as Assistant Curate at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Smiths Falls since March 15 2021. Robert was subsequently appointed as the full-time Assistant Curate at St. John’s, effective July 1 2021.
